2023 Comet Classic- June 23-25

Welcome to the 2023 Comet Classic! This will be our sixth year of running the tournament based on the demand we received from the Solon Spring Classic. 

We will also be hosting our 14U age division again this year, and we are so excited that we will be utilizing Solon's newly turfed Cisar Field, one of the premier HS fields in the area! All 14U games will be played on turf; either on Cisar Field or at US Upper School! Additionally, we will be introducing an 8U KP division this year, with all games being played at the GolfDome, which is an all turf field!

We do not hold spots, as we've tried in the past and been burned; therefore, registration is confirmed only with registration form AND payment.

Tournament Details

  • Ages
    • 8U CP: $325
    • 8U KP: $450 
    • 9U: $465
    • 10U: $465
    • 11U: $465
    • 12U: $465 
    • 13U: $465 
    • 14U: $700 
  • 3 game guarantee pool play format; teams must be prepared to play on Friday
  • Teams are asked to provide one new and one used baseball per game during pool play; tournament will provide baseballs for semi-finals and championship games
  • Tournament will use the app Tourney Machine for all schedule/weather updates and communication
  • Two umpires 9U-14U
  • Games will be played at the following locations:
    • Solon Community Park
    • University School
    • The GolfDome
  • 8U-13U tournament games could begin at 4pm on Friday, and 10am on Saturday & Sunday, unless weather dictates earlier start times; 14U games will begin at 9am on all days
