On a chilly Sunday in December, Stampede Players and Families (past and present) collected food donated from all over the City of Solon. Enough food was collected to provide food boxes to about 160 Solon families in need.
We gathered at Freeway Lanes afterwards to enjoy each other's company, watch the boys attempt to bowl a few frames and see the Buckeyes selected for the Playoffs!
Many thanks to:
Freeway Lanes for donating the bowling and pizza to the boys
Church of the Resurrection for allowing us to contribute to their food bank
Deb Rosen and Tracy Lavine for organizing
The generous neighborhoods of Solon, and
The Stampede Players and Families who participated!
Now in its 13th year, the 2016 Stampede Curbside Food Drive will have over 65 Stampede families from our 6 teams participating, we hope to exceed the 150 Solon/Glenwillow families we helped during last holiday season!
The Curbside Food Drive will once again be partnering with the Church of the Resurrection and the Solon Rotary Club to support the Solon Mobile Food Pantry.
When the Food Drive is complete, Solon Freeway Lanes has agreed to donate pizza, pop, and bowling for participating players!
Our flyer is attached above in case you have any additional questions. If you need more information, please feel free to contact Deb Rosen, Curbside Food Drive Coordinator.
